Does Jalen Hurts have a chance to catch Patrick Mahomes for the NFL MVP?

Jalen Hurts is leading the Philadelphia Eagles right now from the quarterback position to the best record in the entire NFL. Right now, the Philadelphia Eagles are 10-1, with the best record in the NFL. Jalen Hurts turning the corner from last year with the addition of AJ Brown after he led the Eagles last year to a playoff appearance.

“I think Jalen has elevated himself to franchise QB status. He’s made a very significant improvement in his game, especially when it comes to his arm,” said an Eagles fan. “I think Jalen has a lot of confidence in his arm this year. Come playoff time, he’ll be better than last year, especially with all the help he gained last offseason.”Jalen Hurts so far has proved the doubters wrong about his arm talent, which was the central question heading into this season for this Eagles team that made many moves to surround Jalen Hurts with the talent he needed to succeed.

So far this season, Jalen Hurts is completing 67.3 percent of his passes and has thrown 17 touchdowns and just three interceptions with a 68.2 QBR which ranks him fourth in the league only behind Tua Tagovailoa, Patrick Mahomes, and Josh Allen. However, the most impressive part of Jalen Hurts play so far this season has been his ability on the ground. So far, he has rushed for 597 yards and eight touchdowns.

In the Eagles most recent game against the Green Bay Packers, Jalen Hurts set the franchise record for most rushing yards by an Eagles quarterback in a single game rushing for 157 yards while leading the Eagles to a win over the Packers at home. The record was previously held by Michael Vick.

His numbers and level of competition keep Jalen Hurts back from being considered the clear-cut favorite for MVP this season. He sits at 15th in passing yards this season with only 2560 yards, which ranks him behind Tua Tagovailoa, who has only played in 9 games so far. With the remaining schedule the Eagles have left this season, I believe that Jalen Hurts has the best chance at walking away with the MVP over Patrick Mahomes, and Tua Tagovailoa is putting in an MVP performance when the Eagles travel to face Dallas.

"Jalen has impressed me and almost every other Eagles fan with his play from last year to this year. His passing has gotten significantly better, and A.J. Brown plays a big part in his passing"

Even though Jalen Hurts is leading the quaterback on the team with the best record in the NFL Mahomes right now is leading the best team in the AFC with overwhelming stats leading the NFL in passing yards with 3,585. The Kansas City Chiefs are also 9-2 this season on a five game win streak currently with the loss of Tyreek Hill going to the Miami Dolphins he is still leading the Chiefs in dominant fashion.

Jalen lacks an MVP moment that we all look for to say that’s when he took over and became the clear-cut favorite for MVP. Right now, Patrick Mahomes is the odds-on favorite to win the MVP, according to caesars sportsbook. Jalen Hurts has the second-best odds at +400

Jalen will be the key to this team making a Superbowl, and at 10-1 so far this year, the expectations are high around the city of Philadelphia and for Eagles fans everywhere.
