Kyrie Irving Traded to the Dallas Mavericks
Kyrie Irving has been traded to the Dallas Mavericks for Dorian Finney-Smith, Spencer Dinwiddie, and multiple draft picks

Kyrie Irving is headed to Dallas after requesting a trade after not reaching the contract agreement he wanted from the Brooklyn Nets.
The Mavericks are receiving Kyrie Irving and The Nets are sending Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smith, a 2029 first round pick, and two second round picks.
The Mavericks have been in desperate need of a second star next to Luka Doncic, especially after losing Jalen Brunson in the offseason to free agency. Irving fills that role as a high level scorer and All Start Starter this season to help this Mavericks offense not rely so heavily on the talents of Luka.
The Lakers, Suns, and Heat were in rumors to be in talks with the Nets for Irving as well however the Package that the Mavericks offered Brooklyn management believes will keep them in contention this dress in for a championship with Kevin Durant still on the team.
The question now rises as to whether the Mavericks will offer Kyrie a contract that he is willing to sign this offseason to commit long term to the team. Also what will happen to Kevin Durant if this team continues to fall short of their expectations.
